AP Accountant

This Accounts Payable Bookkeeper role will be located in the Salinas, California area and will be a full-time position. As the AP Bookkeeper, you will supervise the month-end closing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and reconciliation. Also, the Accounts Payable Accountnat will handle coding, light journal entries or general ledger reconciliation and perform data entry, cash applications, and full cycle A/P. Complete Accounts Payable

Plan monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents

Maintain monthly accounting close

Provide cash flow projections, as needed

Additional special projects if necessary

Arrange subcontractor 1099's, and any other IRS year-end requirement

Maintain general ledger

Verify monthly accounting close

Direct Accounts Receivable

Arrange sales tax records and create and file quarterly payments

Experienced with credit card management and reconciliation

Considerable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred

Self-driven motivator who takes initiative on projects with a strong ability to understand and solve creative challenges

Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

Exceptional analytical, quantitative and social skills

Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic and constantly changing company environment

Maintain Vendor Files experience

Strong familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP)

Check Runs experience

Expense Reimbursements experience required

Experience with Reconcile Vendor Statements

Highly organized and self-motivated

Ability to meet deadlines

Great attention to detail

Demonstrated ability to implement solutions, strong analytical and communication skills as well
