URBN Flavourhaus - Hiring Servers & Baristas (Bellfonte)

URBN Flavourhaus is a contemporary coffeehouse inspired by European coffeehouses of the 17th century where locals gathered for conversation and commerce. The European industrial influence is felt throughout our haus with wood, metals and vintage lighting.

We need you on our team serving the highest quality small-batch roasted coffees, baked goods and specialty items for breakfast, lunch, diner and dessert!

As a team member of URBN Flavourhaus, you are responsible for providing exceptional customer service, making the Café experience personable by interacting and engaging with the customer, enthusiastically sharing information about our products, recommending add-ons and meeting the needs of our customers.

What You’ll Be Doing

Creating those “WOW” moments that have a positive and lasting impact on our customers.

Building trustful relationships to encourage return visits.

Driving sales by engaging with the customers and giving them suggestions, samples and accommodating special requests.

Working efficiently in a fast-paced environment and assuring the customers are taken care of in a timely manner.

Preparing and serving drinks and food in accordance with the Café standards and health codes.

Using the maintenance checklist throughout your work-shift to maintain the Café cleanliness.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully you must have great communication and listening skills, enjoy interacting with customers one-on-one while maintaining good eye contact and positive body language, be highly organized and efficient while paying great attention to detail, be comfortable using bakery and deli equipment, be able to stand for long periods of time and have the ability to lift, carry, push, pull, bend and twist while handling product.

A high school diploma or GED is required and you must be able to write, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondences and memos.
