Job DescriptionJoin the Clean Energy RevolutionBecome a Continuous Improvement and Innovation Advisor in the Corporate Security Department at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll work with the Manager of Business Operations and Compliance to provide subject-matter expertise for strategic planning, technology research, innovation, and continuous improvement.As a Continuous Improvement and Innovation Advisor , your work will help power our planet, reduce carbon emissions, and create cleaner air for everyone. Conduct research to explore and pilot innovative processes and emerging technologies

Develop continuous improvement and operational excellence programs, projects, and processes

Develop and monitor performance metrics, and create performance metric dashboards

Automate and maintain data collection and analysis

Provide management with reports and contribute to the development of strategic and business plans for the organization

QualificationsThe essentialsSeven (7) or more years of overall experience in strategic planning, managing complex systems, and developing data reporting methods

Experience in research and reporting on innovative solutions

Three (3) or more years of experience with Microsoft Business applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Power BI)

The preferredBachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent level of education and experience in business, planning, management, or technical field

Ten (10) or more years of overall experience in strategic planning, managing complex systems, and developing data reporting methods

Five (5) or more years of full-time NERC compliance experience

Three (3) or more years’ experience and expertise with Physical Security

Strong verbal and written Communication skills

Effective resource and project planning, critical decision making, results delivery, teamwork, strong work ethic, influencing and negotiation skills, leadership, interpersonal skills, communication, and the ability to handle stress and engage in continuous learning

You should knowWork Mode: When a return-to-office date has been determined, this position’s work mode is hybrid . The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days. Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to reside in the state of California. Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.

This position has been identified as a NERC/CIP impacted position - Prior to being hired, the successful candidate must pass a Personnel Risk Assessment (PRA) or Background Investigation. Once hired, the candidate must complete specified training prior to gaining un-escorted access to assigned work location and performing necessary job duties.

Up to 20% travel within the SCE Territory, some overnight may be required.
