- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related science or technology
- 3+ years of experience leading software development projects
- 3+ years of relevant software engineering experience
- Experienced in understanding and contributing to the technical architecture and design of a product/ feature(s)
- 3+ years' experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience with music / digital media royalty and reporting systems and processes
- Proven track record of taking end-to-end ownership and driving results; demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects - work prioritization, planning, task delegation, and coordination across functional teams
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and must be comfortable engaging with executive management.
- Previous product manager experience in a software company working with back-end tools
- Music/entertainment industry experience - especially in large companies
- An understanding of contracts, licensing, royalties will help a lot
- Tech proficiency - understanding of concepts like systems architecture, web services, data base models, agile methodologies, Jira, scrum certification
- Finance or Accounting experience
- Excellent analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making;
- Detail oriented to dive deep into all the data quality and process inefficiency problems
- Insists on the highest standards as you'll be dealing with royalties so any mistake can be costly
- Technical fluency; ability to understand and discuss architectural concepts, schedule tradeoffs and new opportunities with technical team members
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a proven ability to work across functions and influence senior leaders
- Nimbleness and comfort with ambiguity; ability to respond rapidly to evolving challenges and opportunities
