DCM Product Owner / Business Analyst

Location: Santa Clara, CA

Online Store, Digital Content Management TeamThe Online Store is seeking a thoughtful and ambitious Data Analyst to support the growth and operations of the global Digital Content Management (DCM) team. The opportunity is to support this critical business function with data analysis on the operational KPIs of this large and growing team, both current and projected.Partnering with the DCM Leadership team, the Data Analyst will provide regular and ad-hoc insight and decision support to help develop and execute team and location strategies. This will help us plan for the future of this organization. Additionally, there are opportunities to work with our partners in Engineering and Product to help identify and connect sources of data to enable new opportunities for growth and improvement.RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Conduct analysis on the operational KPIs to analyze organizational excellence of a large and growing global team, both current and projected
  • Perform ad-hoc and reoccurring statistical analysis, involving custom calculations across different sources and develop compelling insights
  • Use project management and staffing tools, including spreadsheets, to pull out estimated staffing sizes during different times of the year
  • Build and present results of analysis to business leaders
  • Identify analytical opportunities intersecting people and technology productivity tracking systems
  • Propose creative ways of interoperating and presenting data in meaningful ways
  • Gather & analyze historical data from Product campaign launches to surface publishing work drivers
  • Workshop and build new methods of automating data collection from various publishing tools for future analytics needs
  • Develop an understanding of how online content publishing works for Online and how New Product Introductions and Capital Projects intersect for our customers
  • Understand data interconnectedness and dependencies between internal publishing tools & processes and customer-facing content to develop opportunities for process improvement and optimization
REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
  • Analytical Skills, Business Analytics, Data Analysis, Data Visualization, Excel, Macros
  • Hold relevant experience in data analysis: reviewing, sorting, cleaning, transforming, and modeling data for business consumption
  • Passionate about analyzing work drivers with a desire to learn, improve, innovate
  • Proven attention to detail, inspecting high amounts of information with a sharp eye
  • Should be able to act independently and be self-motivated
  • Experience with scripting languages for quick automation and prototyping a plus [Tableau, Swift, Scripting, Python, Prototyping]
  • BA/BS degree or equivalent experience
