Sr. Material Handler

PDS Tech is seeking candidates for a Senior Material Handler position in Scotts Valley, CAPosition Summary:The Material Handler will be a critical team member driving the success of our manufacturing warehouse. Will be responsible for accurately handling material stock receipts, inventory transfers, and daily shipping activities. This position will also lead the daily cycle count program along with reconciling inventory variances and identifying root causes.Primary Responsibilities:

Receives materials along with supplies and equipment by verifying documentation is complete and accurate. Processes receipts into ERP database and moves material to designated areas.

Issues materials and pulls kits from stock.

Moves or transports material or supplies to other areas or departments as well as transacting in system.

Keeps stock in orderly arrangement with an emphasis on safety and cleanliness

Conducts and reconciles cycle counts which are submitted to Finance Team on a weekly basis.

Reviews Kanban bins on incoming material for shortages and resizing opportunities.

Works closely with Purchasing Team on open PO list for potential PO rescheduling.

Proposes new methods of storage, identification and stock location, considering height and weight limits, turnover, floor loading capacities, and required space.

Packs and labels shipments for domestic and international sales orders.

Uploads receipt forms and shipping documents to shared drive.

Leads the RTV process and maintains accurate record keeping in our Quality System.

Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

Basic reading, writing and numerical ability.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions.

Ability to use hand trucks and small hand tools.

Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:Must have High School Diploma/GED equivalent and 2 years of related experience in material handling or inventory control. Champions work place safety at all times. Demonstrate the ability to work as a team member in a high activity environment

Demonstrable working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office applications or equivalent.

Good written and verbal skills.

Attention to detail!

Basic knowledge of inventory control practices.

Demonstrates problem solving skills and is able to communicate adequately with both internal and external customers.

Experience with ERP systems.

Physical RequirementsRegularly required to stand, walk, use hands to grasp and manipulate; and reach with hands and arms. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, and crouch.
