Business Intelligence Analyst needed for a direct hire position in Avon, CT!(No Sponsorhsip offered by the client)Note: HybridOverview:The BI Analyst will be a business partner with the Operations, Finance, Marketing, Business Development and various other team members to initiate and implement innovative concepts within business processes utilizing Tableau, Alteryx, and SQL Server.The analyst is responsible for the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence applications. Identifies, researches, and resolves technical problems. Ensures that the use of business intelligence applications enhances business decision making capabilities. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. This individual will perform analytical and technical tasks to develop advanced reporting solutions with Tableau being the Reporting/Dashboard Tool.Duties/Responsibilities:Gathers business intelligence from a variety of sources including company data, industry and field reports, public information, or purchased sources.Uses business intelligence data and tools to identify and monitor current and potential customers.Refines existing dashboards to driver further user adoption.Identifies markets for future business development and methods to improve outreach efforts alongside business development team.Compiles business intelligence or trends to support actionable recommendations.Maintains current knowledge of industry and business trends through communication with professional organizations, suppliers, customers, and other informed individuals.Summarizes financial and economic data reports for review by executives, managers, clients, and stakeholders.Generating and compiling reports on a monthly basis.Performs other related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Abilities:Experience with Tableau or other similar visual analytics tools.Basic SQL Skills ie. Select statements, joins, etc.Ability to handle databases and understand technology-driven business intelligence tools.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Ability to collect and compile relevant data.Extremely organized with great attention to detail.Excellent ability to analyze information and think systematically.Strong business analysis skills.Works well independently and as part of a team.Good stakeholder management (customer service, people handling, and presentation skills).Preferred Skills/Abilities:Experience turning Medical Claims data into actionable insights.Past work experience in a healthcare organization, particularly outpatient medical procedures.AlteryxETL and Data WarehousingPredictive analytics experience with SAS, JMP, Python, or any other open-source programming language.Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, Economics, Finance, or Computer and Information Science requiredApply now!
