OMBRA is a new, upscale small plates concept in The Village at Briarcliff opening in October.

Food menu is globally-inspired and dishes are composed based on seasonal and local ingredients available. Menus will change approx. every 2 months; flexibility and a willingness to explore new culinary techniques is encouraged.

Kitchen crew will consist of one prep cook, one line cook, one dishwasher, and management (sous chef + chef owner). All recipes and menu items are made from scratch, with a focus on charcuterie and animal butchery that is all done in-house. We have a composting service that we will divert most of our waste to.

Dishwasher will be responsible for:

- cleaning, drying, and restocking plateware, silverware, glassware, etc.

- assisting in the cleaning and preparation of kitchen and dining areas

- assisting in the organization and preparation of kitchen and restaurant supplies

- removal and replacement of trash, recycling, and compost

Employment Details:

- $17/hour, 4:30pm - 12:30am Thursday-Monday (off Tues/Wed)

- 60-day performance/salary review

- 6 days of Paid Time Off (to be used for sick days, vacations, etc.)

- daily family meal (will be prepared and set aside for dish)

Requirements:

- must be able to lift 50+lbs

- must be able to stand for at least 6 hours

- must be able to effectively communicate in English or Spanish (we have a mostly bilingual management staff)

- must be able to commit to a full-time schedule (40 hours/week); overtime is a possible on busy nights, but not required

4:30pm - 12:30am Thursday-Monday (off Tues/Wed)

- must have reliable form of transportation and time management skills
