Westwood Company LLC is looking for a full-time seasoned Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic, collaborative team in the Vancouver, WA area. We are seeking qualified candidates to meet the growing needs of our steady customer base and are actively searching for the ideal fit. The Project Manager would oversee both large and small commercial projects. Westwood Company has a reputation for excellence and exceptional customer communication and relationships. Job sizes are $50 000 to $20 000 000. Some remote work is possible with the position and can be discussed in the interview.

Responsibilities:

Act as owner’s representative with primary responsibility for all phases of assigned projects

Coordinate with all parties involved with project including contractor, subs, and other team members to meet the project objectives and resolve issues

Professional approach to your work to ensure our reputation for excellence

Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities as required for the project

Review, understand, and manage procedures for handling changes to the contract documents, change orders, substitutions, etc.

Document the status of the project, as well as all meetings and correspondence as a means to properly communicate within the project team and develop the project documents

Manage the overall financial health of the projects

Develop cost codes, approve invoices, and make necessary budget management decisions while collaborating with the owner

Provide billings to bookkeeper for timely payments

Provide high level management of quality, risk, safety, and compliance for the project and team members

Determine needed resources for the project (equipment, manpower/subs, materials) from start to finish

Organize schedules with subcontractors, materials and customers

Maintain weekly job logs, receipt tracking, and communications with all relevant parties

Provide frequent interactions and service to build positive relationships and future work opportunities

Skills Needed for the Job:

5+ years in the building industry

Project Management of 3+ years

Calm, level- headed and polite personality

High emotional intelligence and strong collaborative work ethic

Self-motivated, strong problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail

Understands construction law and general accepted business practices

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Strong time management skills

Proficiency with a wide variety of computer programs like excel, outlook, BlueBeam and experience with programs like Sage or Pro-Core appreciated.
