Overview: International Logic Systems, Inc. (ILS) is a government contractor located in Washington, DC area. A CMMI Level (3), ISO 9001:2015, and ISO 27001 organization, ILS provides integrated services and flexible solutions to federal agencies and private institutions.ILS is looking for Project Managers to support our federal customer in Washington DC. This resource will be called on to be the primary point of contact for ILS Executive level to Senior Management. This resource will work closely with project team and customer in Washington metro area.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the current and future demands of the business collaborating with all IT functions to prioritize demand and the resulting assignment of the best resources to priority projects.
  • Assist with planning and management of the Task and the resulting resource impacts.
  • Analyze and utilize Portfolio related data from within the Enterprise Project Management System (EPM) for reporting against resource needs and utilization metrics.
  • Develop and utilize Resource Management reports to analyze data for all aspects of resource management and planning including capacity, demand, availability, utilization, resource assignments, roles, alternative scenarios analysis, etc. to ensure resources map to and align with program/project budgets and schedules helping to assess program health ensuring objectives are met and for identifying and minimizing ITs risk exposure.
  • Assist with analysis and status of in-flight and proposed projects and resource impacts.
  • Provide analysis for other Resource Management activities including:
    • Resource budget and forecast reviews, impact analysis, establishment of processes for estimation and forecasting, and assisting with matching skills required to resources needed.
    • Analysis across the portfolio for risk tolerance and identification of resource level risks and issues.
  • Provide analysis and planning for Resource Communication activities:
    • Publish to and maintain Resource Management Information sites and providing materials required for communication to various levels of the department staff on the Resource functions.
    • Maintain excellent interpersonal relationships with all organizations and levels of management within IT and business organizations.
    • Establish and maintain an effective communication vehicle to ensure resources are being utilized effectively across all programs and projects including impacts from any maintenance, support or other business resources and activities.
  • Produce resource availability and utilization reports highlighting variances in plan versus actual.
  • Produce materials associated with Project Management meetings.
  • Provide analysis and input to resource management processes and procedures.
  • Define and communicate project deliverables by sprint. Ensure prioritization of stories and effective use of team resources.
  • Work with business owners to ensure requirements are complete and approved.
  • Help team identify impediments to their work and project goals.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience in Portfolio Management analysis, planning, creation, monitoring, strategy, governance, and ability to execute across all aspects of the Portfolio lifecycle.
  • Minimum of four to seven years of Resource Management experience and ten years of combined Program and Project Management experience.
  • PMP Certified (nice to have, but it is not required).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Two to three years of experience with MS Project Professional 2016+.
  • Strong experience with of Microsoft and suite of office tools including MS Word, MS Excel. Visio, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Office 365.
