Title: Packaging Technology EngineerLocation: North Chicago, IL 60064, with up to 10% travelDuration and hire type: 6+ Month Contract (Possible contract-to-hire)I am looking for an accomplished Packaging Technology Engineer for a growing manufacturing environment that includes 10 packaging sites across the America's and Europe. This individual will have strong experience in packaging including machinery, software, supply chain, engineering, site automation, information security and enterprise applications. They will demonstrate expertise in diverse platforms and systems, serialization, OEE optimization, and aggregation. They will also deal with GxP regulations, data integrity, equipment obsolescence, and be able to demonstrate strong communication skills.Responsibilities:• Responsible for initiation, planning and execution of IME global packaging projects and programs• Ability to lead IT and OT teams across diverse systems and platforms including Antares, PCE, Uhlmann, and Marchesini that support cross-functional initiatives with enterprise-level system dependencies.• Demonstrated expertise across a wide range of packaging system operations including Serialization, Aggregation, OEE optimization, equipment obsolescence and data integrity• Assess and identify OEE improvement opportunities at the Site and Line level• Works with BTS and business leaders to implement packaging strategies to meet current and future requirements.• Implement strategic global technology initiatives that help to facilitate manufacturing, packaging and supply chain connected systems and shop floor insights.• Follow corporate standards regarding applicable Corporate and Divisional Policies, including code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.• Obtain estimates/quotes from vendors and provide as input into overall project time and cost estimates.• Produces and maintains required technical documentation associated with work product.Requirements:• Bachelor’s or Masters's Degree in Computer Engineering or equivalent plus 4-7 or more years technical experience• Ability to Learn, understand and master new methods and technologies• Ability to understand and adhere to code of conduct, safety, GxP compliance, data security, and the software development lifecycle.Overview: Sterling Engineering / Staffing has a rich history of delivering top talent to our clients.
