As Manager, you will lead all aspects of, guide and direct the SFFed's cash data analytics, currency and coin model management, capacity planning, MIS and innovation functions to drive business decisions for cash operations. You will also lead implementation of innovative solutions through System-wide groups, inspiring fellow Reserve Banks to adopt innovative analysis tools.Our ideal candidate for this role is a proven people leader with experience leading analysts across a wide array of specialties and experiences, influencing multiple groups across an organization, is an excellent communicator, sets a high bar for themself, and is adept at identifying and acting upon opportunities for continuous improvement.   • Ensure your team provides the underlying data, analysis and metrics as it relates to cash operations management.
  • Effectively and efficiently communicate and collaborate within the team, District Cash Services, and SFFed partners such as Facilities Management, Data Insights + Analytics, Legal, Police Services, Information & Technology Services, Strategy, People + Culture, Audit, Financial Management, and FedCash Services to make a positive impact for the team, SFFed and System.
  • Provide strategic vision on project management, personnel management as well wide range of currency + coin concepts and theories.
  • Influence and contribute to the team's, SFFed's, and System's formation of polices and the development of best practices to support the analytics and innovation of inventory management and technical enhancements.
  • Ensure team expertise that is agile and willing to change course according to current events and new information.
  • Lead team actions to support District Cash Services in the areas of access management, vendor management, supplier diversity, and information security.
  • Ensure team advocates for District Cash Services to FedCash Services through District Liaison channel.
  • Lead and develop the team through recruiting, hiring, coaching and professional development, guide and mentor direct reports to include senior level individual contributors, professional specialists, and interns.
  • Ensure performance planning, succession planning, and salary recommendations and if needed, termination.
  • Define and refine team goals and strategies and establish team objectives in support of these strategies.
  • Lead the development of the team's departmental functional strategy and tactical plans that are in alignment with goals, for support team and the priorities across District Cash Services, SFFed, and System.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and changes in Cash-related policies and procedures, recommending actions to Cash and SFFed executive leaders or influence System stakeholders.
Desired Experience + Traits
  • Typically requires 7+ years of leadership and/or managerial experience in a fast paced, highly regulated operations environment.
  • Highly energetic and service oriented.
  • Strong problem solving and excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and make immediate independent judgment decisions.
  • Experience scoping, leading, and implementing process improvement initiatives.
  • Experience collecting, transforming, analyzing, and reporting complex data to drive significant business decisions.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite.
  • Working knowledge and a curious interest in emerging technologies (i.e., Cloud, AI, RPA etc.).
  • Experience in a leadership role with strategic influence across business divisions with numerous partners and constituents preferred.
  • May require proficiency in visualization software e.g., Tableau or MS Power BI.
  • Experience in programming languages such as R, Python, etc. preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS PowerAutomate, SQL, databases or similar preferred.
Banking experience is not required. Experience in military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production, or distribution environments are also desired.What you'll receive
