Senior Fullstack Developer

Our client, a leader in the Media & Entertainment space is looking for a hands on technical Senior Full Stack Engineer. As part of this team, you will be tasked with bridging their video management system (VMS) to multiple different systems including their newly re-architected multisite website. The ideal candidate will come from a multi-faceted background comfortable working across various systems, platforms, and tech stacks.

• Work with development teams and product managers to generate software solutions.
• Design client-side and server-side architecture as well as build a highly interactive front-end UI.
• Provide technical and developmental leadership.
• Set coding standards to drive the strategic technical direction of our engineering efforts including developing systems to increase efficiency and decrease load time between the DB and Web UI.
• Develop system test criteria and participate in systems testing when needed.
• Provide after-hours and weekend support for production systems.

• Tech Stack: Typescript, Node.JS, AWS
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Software Engineer or similar role.
• Experience developing desktop and mobile applications.
• Familiarity with databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design
• Knowledge of Content Delivery Networks (e.g., Akamai) and CI/CD stack
• Experience working with multiple front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, JSON, XML)
• Knowledge of multiple back-end languages (e.g., PHP, Node, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., Node.js, React, TypeScript)
• Strong knowledge of web server technologies (e.g., Apache) and web proxies (e.g., Varnish)
• Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services inclusive of Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, EC2, auto scaling and other micro-services
• Experience with Unit Testing (e.g., Jest, Mocha, Chai)
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure inclusive of Azure Dev Ops, API management, Virtual Machines Excellent written and verbal skills
