Responsibilities of the Lead Data Engineer: - Design, develop, and support data solutions, APIs, tools, and processes
- Provide subject matter expertise related to system and application design, performance, integration, and security
- Provide support and troubleshooting for data platforms
- Plan and work on internal projects as needed, including legacy system replacement, monitoring and analytics improvements, tool development, and technical documentation
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring for other team members
Requirements of the Lead Data Engineer: - 6+ years of related experience, including 4+ years in a hands-on data engineering role
- Proficiency in SQL, relational database modeling concepts and techniques
- Experience in data movement tools, real-time processing, data architecture methodologies, Agile, API design and development
- Solid conceptual understanding of data engineering principles
- Financial industry experience a plus
