Job DescriptionJoin the Clean Energy RevolutionBecome a Technician, Jr. at Southern California Edison (SCE) and build a better tomorrow. In this job, you’ll perform duties associated with maintaining and servicing automotive equipment, for SAE Class equipment, such as: checking vehicle fluid levels, fueling vehicles, performing tire work, visually inspecting vehicles, preparing and maintaining documentation on services performed. Generates and processes detailed documentation with vehicle service, such as trouble reports and work orders. Report any observable vehicle damage to higher level technicians and management. Perform general garage cleaning and maintenance. Assist other garage personnel as required. Basic automotive and equipment servicing.

Valid US driver’s license.

The Preferred

Understand and follow verbal and written instructions.

Recognize faulty automotive operating conditions; operate fueling equipment; use pressure equipment to wash and clean vehicles; obtain and maintain Driver’s License, including a Class “A” License with endorsement “X”. Perform heavy physical work. Operate computer and/or other related equipment. Understand and observe Company policy and Company safety rules and standards.

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this job are of a level comparable with those normally acquired through completion of a high school education and some elementary experience in operation and servicing of automotive equipment.

The successful candidate will be expected and must be able to obtain a Class A License with an X/Hazmat endorsement within 6 months of hiring.

This position will be working swing shift, 3PM to midnight.
