This is a year long contract: work 40 hours a week, with paid holidays and 80 hours of accumulated PTO (paid time off)

Looking for someone with computer-user desktop and general network and

administrative support services skill. The selected candidate must be able to demonstrate the ability to

satisfactorily resolve problems using available tools, resources, fundamental troubleshooting techniques, and

industry best practices.

Duties will include the following:

1. The helpdesk technician will perform tiers 0 thru 2 problem resolution for all our client's IT systems.

2. The helpdesk technician must be proficient in a variety of Microsoft operating systems and associated

technologies including, but not limited to obtaining expertise with past and current “standard desktop

configurations (SDCs)” which are modified versions of Microsoft operating systems that include a standard

deployment of office applications; installation of drivers, remediation of vulnerabilities, configuring the OS to

work with applications, installing and configuring security systems and protocols, and upgrading or migration to

new operating systems.

3. The helpdesk technician must demonstrate fundamental knowledge of and skill working with and

troubleshooting Microsoft networks, Local Area Networks (LANs), TCP/IP networks, rudimentary switching

topologies, virtual private networks (VPNs), peer-to-peer networks, and Windows workgroups.

4. The helpdesk technician must have an intermediate knowledge of basic application functionality, including

but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Outlook, and Access) and must be able to

perform application software updates, upgrades, and replacements on all end user devices .

5. The helpdesk technician must demonstrate a technical proficiency with the maintenance and repair of

personal computers and other end user device hardware components, such as central processing units

(CPUs), mother boards, memory chips, and internal hard drives. The helpdesk technician must also be able to

install and configure various input/output (I/O) devices (e.g., printers and scanners), CD/DVD and other

removable media, digital tape, other peripherals and telecommunications hardware.

6. The helpdesk technician will assist with completing annual hardware and software inventory processes;

assist in the movement of unserviceable IT equipment for turn in process, receipt of new equipment and issue

new equipment as necessary.
