The Alaska Staff Development Network (ASDN) is a division of the Alaska Council of School Administrators (ACSA). ASDN serves educators and school districts across the State of Alaska by providing professional learning opportunities. ASDN also serves as a grant partner to a portfolio of state and federal grant projects.
With direction from the Executive Director and ACSA/ASDN Grants Director, the ACSA/ASDN Grant Manager position provides high quality grant management services under existing contracts, collaboratively develops new grant proposals, and provides support to other ASDN and ACSA programs.
The successful candidate will also work with ASDN to grow our statewide professional learning networks, both online in person. This includes supporting the development of future professional learning with a statewide perspective and building connections across ASDN’s grant projects and professional learning programs.
This position will require a minimum of quarterly travel to grant-related meetings and ACSA/ASDN events.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage grant projects to benefit Alaskan educators. Activities will include:
Collaborate with internal and external experts and partners to successfully implement grant funded projects.
Manage project timelines, activities, communications, and budgets.
Help identify excellent professional learning providers and assist with the development and delivery of related professional learning.
Work closely with project evaluators to provide related status reports and projections.
Collaborate in the preparation and monitoring of required federal and state reports, in accordance with applicable regulations and policies.
Respond to inquiries or concerns in a timely manner.
Communicate about grant projects and other ASDN professional learning to other entities.
Plan and conduct grant-related meetings, including bi-monthly project management meetings and in-person grant related meetings and conferences.
Support applications for state, federal, foundation, and other grant funds, ensuring compliance with applicable state and federal statutes, regulations and/or guidelines. Provide necessary research base for grant project applications.
Participate in ACSA staff meetings and events as required.

Education, training, and experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution, education degree preferred
Education grant experience strongly preferred
Demonstrated success with grant processes and/or experience providing professional learning to educators preferred
Teaching and/or administration experience within K-12 public education preferred

Salary Range: $60,000-$80,000 depending on experience, plus generous benefit package.
Location: Juneau (working from ACSA office) preferred, but if candidate is from another location in Alaska, remote work consideration is possible.
