We have been serving the construction industry in Western PA and West Virginia since 1969. We are currently looking for a Rebar Fabricator for our WV office. TITLE: Steel Rebar Fabricator OVERVIEW: Steel Rebar Fabricator will work in our cast concrete and rebar fabrication shop. We work on various industrial, commercial, institutional, and related projects that supply the construction field. The role of Rebar Fabricator is to be responsible for all aspects of Steel Rebar Fabrication as well as assist with warehouse/yard functions including the receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing of product for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse/yard in a safe and orderly fashion. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Cut and fabricate rebar per drawings and orders. Follow required safety and maintenance schedules for machinery Notify Rebar Sales when you have confusing or what you feel are incorrect instructions. Package projects in a clear and understandable format for customers. Provide excellent customer service to all “pick-up” customers. Receive materials coming into the building by vendors, customers, or other warehouses accurately and promptly. Verify the quantity and description of materials received by checking product against the Purchase Order. Examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items and appropriately report/record any discrepancies. Accurately place materials on shelves, in racks, in yard or other designated storage areas in a timely manner. Assemble and fill orders to be delivered to customers. Pack and load product onto personal trucks according to company specifications. Assist in verifying loads on delivery trucks to ensure accurate quantities and identifying any discrepancies. Assist in verifying weight compliance is within limits on all loads prior to leaving the yard. Protects organization reputation by keeping pricing, promotion, purchase order, and credit-limit information confidential. Completes all required documentation accurately and timely. Represent the company in its best light with honesty and integrity in every setting. Willingness / Ability to gain product knowledge. Other duties as assigned. (Ex. Warehouse, Yard, Delivery) COMPETENCIES: Able to work in concrete production facilities and on construction sites indoors and outdoors Environment can be dirty and noisy Wears appropriate protective clothing and equipment including gloves, ear protection and respirators when necessary Stands frequently and walks about the work areas to monitor and adjust the plant and add ingredients. Squatting, crouching or kneeling may be required occasionally Twisting the body or neck may be required occasionally Bending is occasionally required to facilitate the lifting of items to add to the production process Machine operating experience At least 3 years' experience Previous Experience with rebar processing equipment a plus Forklift Certification is a plus Knowledge of how to use hand tools, Forklift and Rebar bending machine Must be able to lift 100 pounds on a regular basis (physically demanding position) REPORTS TO: Asst. Branch Manager HOURS: Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 4:00 pm DEGREE: High school diploma or equivalent This is a 40 hour work week. It is located in our Bridgeport, WV office.
