Snowflake Architect Chicago, IL Responsibilities • Develop data models within a cloud-based data warehouse solution. This includes analyzing client specific data needs, designing and implementing physical data models.• Design efficient algorithms for data integration, transformation and quality check.• Continuously improve the performance and scalability of data platform.• Partner with business analysts to craft stories and develop work items to satisfy those stories.• Work on an agile team to quickly iterate and release solutions.• Provide technical advice and assist end-users in solving problems.• Serve as a key subject matter expert and drive evolution of the cloud-based Data Warehouse Solutions. Qualifications Experience and Skills• Minimum of a B.S. in Computer Science, MS or related degree and 10+ years of related experience.• In depth knowledge of: o ANSI SQL o Snowflake - MUST HAVE, non starter if no former Snowflake experience• Proficiency with data warehousing and modelling concepts: o Data Pipeline, ETL and ELT o Data Vault 2.0 and Dimensional Data Model• Experience in the below is expected: o AWS or Azure cloud services o Relational and Columnar databases o Power BI or Tableau o Agile methodologies, Scrum and Kanban o CI/CD pipeline• Financial terminology and an understanding of related concepts (Portfolio Management, Security Master, Risk, Compliance, Accounting).• Experience with one or more of below is desirable: o Alteryx o Python o JavaScript o Confluence and Jira o ServiceNow RegardsJay | Virtusoft IncT: |E: jay at virtusoft.us |W: www.virtusoft.us
