We use a robust, flexible framework developed by our Applied Machine Learning team to deliver impactful and imaginative solutions to our internal and external partners. We are always on the lookout for the next innovative idea to help our customers discover the art of the possible, as well as how to scale those ideas for future endeavors.We pair our Data Science Services Technical Lead with a Technical Program Manager to assist in gathering customer requirements, people management, and agile development processes. The DSS Technical Lead is expected to execute against feature requests from a wide variety of customers, provide technical guidance to all team members, and coordinate with the ML Engineering Technology Lead to help drive the schedule. The DSS Technical Lead will also help analyze patterns across customer feature requests to influence pipeline architecture development.Life with Us Your Career: We're very serious about professional development and continuing education. - You'll be creating bespoke AI/ML customer solutions using Maxar's Applied Machine Learning Technology Stack.
- You'll be discovering new and innovative features to add to the Applied Machine Framework so that it continues to cater to a wide customer base.
- You will be able to drive discussions with senior technical and management personnel within customers and partners, as well as the technical background that enables them to interact with and give guidance to data/research/applied scientists and software developers
- We work in a very Lean-Agile environment without the overhead associated with traditional Scrum. We've eliminated unnecessary development meetings and we love it!
- You'll collaborate with our geographically dispersed team primarily via Zoom & Slack.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and willing and able to get a TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Systems Engineering, etc.)
- 15 years of data science-related experience.
- Strong Python skills!
- Experience designing and communicating technical roadmaps.
- Recent experience with some of the following technologies:
- AWS/C2S/S3
- Pytorch
- GitHub, GitLab, or BitBucket
- Experience with satellite imagery and/or aerial imagery and general mapping
- Experience with 3D and elevation data
- Experience with QGIS or similar technologies
- Experience with Lightning, GraphQL
- Experience with Kubeflow / MLflow
- Understanding of Agile methodologies
- Advanced degree in a related field (e.g., Computer Science, Systems Engineering, etc.), or equivalent experience.
- Strong background in remote sensing or computer vision
- Knowledge of Design Thinking principles
- Active TS/SCI clearance and ability to pass CI polygraph preferred but not required
