Wunderkin Co.’s mission is to encourage girls to stay curious, adventure often and grow into exactly who they are meant to be. We create handmade fabric bows and hard hair clips to accompany little ones around the globe on their daily adventures. We sell our bows online, and they are made with love by seamstresses from around the US.

We believe in delighting our customers with the cutest packages, creating joyful moments with each order. Previously, we have been shipping packages from Denver, CO., but we are relocating our headquarters to historic downtown New Albany, IN. - the owner’s hometown!

We are hiring a general shop manager for our New Albany fulfillment center. The perfect fit will have experience managing a team, creating processes and organization, and confidence and track record to run the fulfillment center like a well-oiled machine. Most importantly, this person will be able to thrive in a startup environment, and come up with solutions to solve problems and create a consistent and peaceful work environment. This position will work directly with the founder and creative director to establish solid roots in the midwest for the fulfillment (and eventually production) hub of Wunderkin Co.

As general shop manager of our fulfillment and production hub, here are your duties:

- Work with owner and creative director to create a positive and safe team environment.

- Oversee the accurate fulfillment of 1000-3000 packages a week, honoring our 1-3 day delivery promise.

- Work to build relationships with USPS, UPS, FEDEX, DHL and maintain the lowest-priced rates and efficient delivery speeds.

- Intake inventory weekly, and create effective quality control procedures, and intake processes so we can reconcile - with purchase orders and pay vendors.

- Create organizational and inventory-management systems for packaging supplies.

- Hire and train new shipping associates and manage schedules and time sheets.

- Incentivize team to hit speed metrics and goals.

- Onboard holiday and seasonal help.

- Ability to anticipate and identify chokeholds and problems, and implement creative solutions to reduce waste and improve margins.

- Work with creative and marketing teams include seasonal and relevant package inserts, and specialized packaging and gifts for influencers, top customers, etc.

- Work with customer service lead to identify process flows and systems to resolve shipment errors and any issues with customer experience.

- Intake and process customer returns and create relevant restock flows and reports for team.

Occasionally, you will be responsible for:

- Working with marketing manager to coordinate seasonal pop-up shops, and work with other vendors to open the space to events.

- Miscellaneous administrative duties

Eventually, you will be responsible for:

- Late fall, we are also going to relocate our production hub, which will include all of our fabric, trims and other raw materials. We will begin to distribute fabric packages to our virtual seamstress team directly from this New Albany hub, and you will work directly with the owner to create these processes and hire relevant personnel.
