Architectural Designer/CAD Drafter (Cotuit)

A small, Cape Cod, residential design firm is seeking candidates for a full-time Drafter/Designer position. Candidates should have experience with construction documents for mid to high end residential projects.

Responsibilities:

 Document existing homes

 Draft Design Drawings in CAD

 Prepare Construction Documents

 Communicate with clients, contractors and other professionals

 Coordinate with other disciplines, such as contractors, structural engineers, landscape architects, and others

 Visit project site during construction

Requirements:

 CAD proficient (minimum 2 years of experience), DataCAD a plus, but not required

 Knowledge of wood-frame construction, framing, and details

 Ability to work both collaboratively and independently

 Ability to be flexible and adjust priorities & meet deadlines when working on multiple projects

 Strong written and verbal communication skills

 Compensation to commensurate with experience
