HireArt is helping The World's Largest Social Network hire a talented Technical Artist to manage the technical aspects of art asset development. You will work cross-functionally to develop and support the asset pipeline, animation and rigging tools, animation rigs, and real-time effects.In this role, you will be working closely with a team of engineers to generate synthetic data involving digital humans. You will help improve the quality of the company's digital humans/animations to meet the requirements of the research teams. You will also be working with internal data collection teams to help assist with LED wall virtual production.As Technical Artist, you will:Partner closely with research and product teams to define requirements and develop content.Maintain and improve a digital human asset used for synthetic data generation.Optimize content through enhancing performance.Design and implement scalable solutions for asset creation, modeling and texturing.Manage the technical animation pipeline including developing UE4 tools and plug-ins for rigging and animation and hooking up animations.Develop broad technical expertise to assist in a wide variety technical and artistic tasks.Collaborate with internal team leads specializing in other areas to find compelling solutions to problems.Thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent work experienceMaya, Blender or other 3D modeling softwareExperience with Unreal Engine is preferredExperience with character modeling, animation and riggingExperience with image and video content delivery pipelines for LED wall virtual production is desiredCreativity, verbal and written communication skills, and problem solving skillsAbility to work independently and manage one’s timeCommitment:This is a full-time, 12-month contract position staffed via HireArt.
