Shipping & Receiving / Dock Associate

We are currently looking for a versatile shipping & receiving person with forklift experience, excellent attention to detail and a can-do/will-do attitude for the position of Shipping & Receiving clerk w/ assorted warehouse responsibilities. Responsibilities:

Optimally utilizing warehouse space to ensure efficient storage and accessibility of equipment

Managing and tracking inventory by utilizing an Oracle ERP system and reviewing incoming and outgoing equipment, including photographing each.

Creating, processing and recording various documents, including BoLs, shipping tickets, and POs.

Coordinating transportation of equipment using various resources, including internal company vehicles and staff, external 3rd party freight companies (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Etc) as well as external trucks for local and long distance deliveries and pickups of equipment.

Creating, processing, issuing and recording POs issued by you to vendors for various reasons.

Using a forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to properly and safely move product, including loading and offloading of various trucks and containers.

Picking, packing, palletizing and wrapping/banding/strapping parts and equipment for shipping, and removing and storing the same for incoming shipments.

Ensuring all assets are labeled, stenciled and/or barcoded upon entering and/or before leaving our facilities.

Verifying the accuracy & condition of incoming & outgoing loads, including models, serial numbers, and quantities, and associated paperwork of all incoming and outgoing loads.

As part of the team, identifying, reporting and potentially resolving observed safety hazards

Other general tasks as needed, when needed

Promptly and professionally communicating with customers, supervisors, teammates, and members of other teams to address various needs.

Visually inspecting, and possibly cleaning/wiping down outgoing equipment, to ensure that our customers receive product that represents us to the best of our abilities.

Basic Requirements:

HS Diploma/GED / Equivalent

Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Proficiency in operating material handling equipment

Good physical condition - ability to push, pull, lift (50lbs), drag, step over and navigate between various types of equipment

Basic mathematical aptitude.

Good organizational skills.

High attention to detail.

Good written and verbal communication.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent, one location

Salary: $19.00 - $22.00 per hour (following a 90-day probation period)

Schedule:

8 hour day shift, some sporadic overtime

Mon-Fri 6:30A-3:30P (may flex within an hour or so of each, depending on circumstances)
