The IT Tech is responsible for the installation, operation, configuration and maintenance of a variety of IT equipment, networks and services. Duties include configuring hardware and software, setting up peripherals such as printers or switches, cameras, repairing or troubleshooting equipment, and providing daily support for computer network users. This position may serve both resorts, requiring an ability to travel by car between them.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provides technical assistance to end users, including help with passwords and network connections, hardware and software.

Performs hardware and software maintenance/upgrades on workstations.

Troubleshoots and monitors network.

Maintains an up-to-date inventory of equipment.

Manages network/service user accounts in a Windows environment (to include some Macs).

Supports IT Manager and IT team with projects, as needed.

Provides assistance to users with regard to computer hardware, software, and other IT equipment, programs and services.

Sets up and configures desktop computers, peripherals and accounts as directed and following established protocols.

Installs and shows users how to properly employ a variety of hardware, software, and other IT systems and services.

Provides troubleshooting, repair and maintenance for IT systems and with testing computers and peripherals on a network to diagnose hardware versus software problems; escalates to other technical resources as appropriate.

Maintains systems and databases and administers user accounts.

Inventories and maintains adequate stock of computer equipment, peripherals and accessories.

Establishes and maintains effective professional working relationships with staff and management.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates or higher degree in computer science or a related field preferred.

Three or more years of related experience with computers and IT support service, preferably at a hotel or resort.

Working knowledge of networking concepts, system security, Active Directory, Exchange and other Microsoft services and technologies

A fundamental understanding of operating systems including Windows 7 and Mac OSX.

Strategic and creative problem solver.

Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to communicate with all levels of management and staff.

Ability to work holidays and occasional evenings and/or weekends.

Ability to travel by car. This position may require working at two resorts that are approximately 1.25 hours away from one another.

Ability to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb stairs, push and pull items weighing 40 pounds or less.

The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures; and the ability to speak and communicate in a professional manner.
