DescriptionThe Finance Director oversees all accounting functions; controlling and verifying financial transactions according to general accounting principles, ensures compliance with regulatory guidance and detail oriented standards. Manages approximately 8 employees. Manages monthly closing process. Responsible for the preparation and distribution of financial statements in a timely fashion. Directs any internal audits and works with external resources in any external audits. Supports, and trains accounting staff; ensures accounting policies are appropriate for the organization; maintains controls; recommends and implements new procedures; understands applicable laws and applies that knowledge to internal policies, procedures, and practices. Must be able to effectively handle multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline driven environment. Must build collaborative business relationship with the Ownership and company management team to manage and support a rapidly growing wholesale distribution business.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to)▪ Oversee accounting department operations including the design of an organizational structure adequate for achieving the department’s goals and objectives▪ Protect operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential▪ Ensures integrity of financial statements and, particularly, the integrity of the balance sheet▪ Execute timely monthly closings▪ Develop and implement internal audit procedures as required▪ Oversee all asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries ▪ Provide status of financial condition of the company by collecting, interpreting, and reporting key financial data ▪ Manage the preparation of monthly manager reports, worksheets, schedules, budgets, and forecasts ▪ Manage the preparation of timely and complete financial statements▪ Compile and file sales tax reports and payments per jurisdiction requirements▪ Assist with external audits and examinations▪ Manage debt levels and compliance with debt covenantsJOB DESCRIPTIONFinance Director Updated: 8/13/2020▪ Compile and submit monthly Borrowing Base for Line of Credit▪ Serve as primary contact for bankers, auditors, and external CPA firm▪ Establish, monitor, document, and enforce policies, procedures, and workflow for Financedepartment▪ ▪ Manage financial oversite plus day to day processing of extremely high-volume customerssuch as Amazon and E-Bay▪ Contribute to the team effort by aiding and/or accomplishing accounting oversite for alloperations▪ Work with Sales Directors and Leads to manage customer contracts, special pricing, andprograms▪ Maintain records of non-trade vendor service contracts▪ Oversee Risk Management of all company assets▪ Implement and oversee fraud detection and prevention policies and procedures▪ Collaborate with external CPA firm on annual financial reviewyear-end close in coordination with all department Directors▪DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS▪ Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal skills▪ Ability to work efficiently and effectively with cross functional teams▪ Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)▪ Strong analytical and accounting skills▪ Strong knowledge of all facets of opRequirementsAnnual Financial Reporting, Supervisory Oversight, Annual Internal Audit, Operational Policies, Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation, Monthly Financial Statements, Financial Statements Consolidation, Tax Reporting, Budgeting - Forecasting, GAAP AccountingIf you are interested in being considered, please send your resume and interest to Carla.davis@roberthalf.com for immediate consideration.Robert Half Finance & Accounting matches skilled finance and accounting professionals in the areas of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, audit, taxation and more on a full-time basis.
