ContractThe IT Asset Coordinator will assist in all aspects of software and related purchasing for our client. This position will involve the coordination of purchase activities, including researching and evaluating vendors for pricing and quality, completing purchase orders, and documenting received asset along with managing inventory. The IT Asset Coordinator will provide support to the IT Asset Analysts as necessary and act as a back-up for day to day tasks.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for the procurement of IT goods and services
  • Receives technical procurement requests and processes accordingly.
  • Assists in monitoring, ordering, and receiving assets.
  • Assists with Catalog updates and upkeep
  • Verifies purchase requisitions/quotes. Obtains clarification for any unclear requests and recommends alternatives when available.
  • Sends purchase orders to vendors, monitors vendor response times, and expedites orders when needed.
  • Ensures assets are received from the vendor and shipped to the appropriate end user in a timely fashion.
  • Assist with quarterly harvesting of licenses.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
  • Maintains high level of customer service
  • Track requests and communicate expectations to the customer.
  • Respond to customer and vendor inquiries about order status, returns, cancellations, and product changes.
  • Responsible for IT inventory management
  • Maintain software asset database and create reports as requested.
  • Provide ad hoc reports as requested.
  • Minimal travel required

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year in an IT Asset Coordinator role
  • Solid knowledge of software licensing and maintenance agreements
  • Knowledge of IT Service Management processes
  • Associates degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Self-motivated with a high attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for extended periods of time
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be fully vaccinated and remain fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
Per the CDC, fully vaccinated means at least 2 weeks after (1) a second dose in a 2-dose series, or (2) a single-dose vaccine, and this status and definition applies to COVID-19 vaccines currently authorized for emergency use or approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
