Our highly visible client is seeking to hire a Data Analyst for New Orleans, LA. This is a full-time, onsite position with outstanding benefits and company culture. This company cannot transfer any visas. Not available for C2C. Data Analyst: Primary Duties1. Executes existing machine learning models in support of daily operations, long-term planning, and forecasting efforts. Reconciles actual and anticipated outcomes to identify discrepancies. Analyzes discrepancies by each component to isolate issues and enable continuous improvement.2. Modifies existing plans and forecasts as necessary. Communicates adjustments to appropriate personnel. Identifies new data that could enhance the quality and accuracy of models to improve predictions.3. Assesses the effectiveness and accuracy of new data sources and data gathering techniques. Applies statistical and analytical methods to identify trends and dependencies. Generates operational insights and may make recommendations for addressing areas of opportunity.4. Supports initiatives for data integrity and normalization. Utilizes various database platforms to collect data and complete the ad-hoc/root cause analysis of complex issues.5. Participates in the development of reports. Presents information in a clear, consumable manner using data visualization tools and techniques.6. Stays abreast of emerging and evolving data tools and technology.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Educational/Experience Level Bachelor of Science degree with concentration in mathematics, engineering, statistics, or a related field and 1+ year of relevant experience. Strong mathematical background with the ability to perform analysis involving statistical methods and regression analysis.Preferred Skills:Knowledge of statistical computer language, data visualization and business intelligence tools.
