- Design, analyze, and evaluate all systems for transformers, ensuring reliability and availability
- Conceptualize, plan and install testing systems including partial discharge measurement, impulse test, and AC test sets for testing power transformers
- Customize and develop safety systems to enable safe and reliable use of high voltage test systems
- Under limited direction, perform a variety of complex engineering assignments requiring in-depth knowledge of a Transformer winding, testing and assembly processes
- Assignments typically require the use of advanced and innovative techniques
- Proactively seek and implement initiatives to improve operations and increase customer satisfaction
- Bachelor degree in Engineering and 5 or more years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Candidate must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering preferred
- Experience with programming PLCs is preferred but not required
- Experience using and implementing lean production system or tools to achieve operational efficiency and waste reduction a plus
- Experience with analysis of transformer manufacturing defects a plus
