Wi-Fi TesterAustin, TX or San Jose, CA (Onsite from day 1)12 months Job Description:· Looking for versatile QA Engineer for validating test cases utilized in testing software/firmware.· Will be responsible to develop new tests, review and update existing test cases.· Will also independently report the test quality status for the feature areas that are assigned.· This position requires good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC), strong written and organizational skills. It is critical to have some hands-on knowledge of Smart/Digital TV’s, HDMI, Set Top Boxes, Wi-Fi and TV remote controllers· Review and modify existing test cases based on changes to the software/firmware. Documenting all the details in test rail.· Create test plans and test cases for new features and ensure that adequate test coverage is provided.· Test compatibility with HDMI/HDCP, Wi-Fi networks/routers, audio/video streaming file types· Work closely with the Firmware development and QA teams to test software on new products as well as existing platforms· Troubleshoot issues down to the root cause and be able to create detailed bug reports.· Prepare precise Test Completion reports for Management to review and approve the release(s).· Leverage existing automation frameworks to run the automated tests.· Familiarity with TestRail, Jira, Confluence and SharePoint.Education:· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
