On-Call Field Technicians are needed in the NYC/NJ area. Responsibilities vary, but will include POS skills, data center skills as well as some help desk/desktop support.
Hours vary as well as days of the week.This is a great way to supplement your income, or to pick up some evening or weekend work. The technician will assist with POS, or desktop/network install/decommission or Break/ Fix tickets within the tri-state area. This work will be conducted during normal business hours, as well as nights and weekends. These work tickets could include the following:POS Technicians for various retail clients in the New York / New Jersey metropolitan area. This is part-time work in the field, as needed. $30.00 hour; 20-60 hours a week depending on the ticket; you can get paid on a W2 part time basis, or C2C or 1099.REQUIREMENTS and TOOLS:- Knowledge of POS hardware and software
- Must have a vehicle
- Must have a ladder
- Working knowledge of servers and switches
- Must be able to run and terminate Cat 5/6 cables and patch panels
- Must have termination cable tools
- Proficiency working with wireless, waps, speakers, alarm systems, pin pads, registers, printers
- Other tools required: Fluke or cable tester, screwdrivers, small hand tools, drill, etc
- Desktop/Laptop/ VDI/ Monitor and peripheral installs
- Cable Infrastructure Patching (must know fiber cabling)
- Rack & Stack of network devices
- Decommission of network/server devices
- Cisco phone installations- Troubleshoot Cisco switches, power supplies, line cords, etc.
- Power Disconnect & Parts Inventory Property
