The Enterprise Architect is responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components. They are also required to interpret, use and apply information contained within IT architecture to inform a range of business improvement activities, particularly those involved in the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems. This role will support the United Next enterprise initiative driving and shaping needed architecture to provide resilient, scalable and effective business technology solutions.Primary Responsibilities:

  • Work with cross-functional teams to define, implement and execute on the processes for the definition, maintenance, and conformance management of the Enterprise Architecture.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams to analyze existing solutions and identify and determine architectural enhancements necessary to bring resilient and scalable solutions. Update and maintenance of the key Enterprise Architecture deliverables.
  • Establishment and maintenance of contacts within business units and information system programs to understand business activities and business drivers, business requirements, solutions strategies and alternatives, etc., being considered and/or implemented.
  • Architectural leadership in the resolutions of inter-program and inter-project issues.
  • Ongoing publicity and communication of the Enterprise Architecture both within the information community, and the business units.
  • Ongoing research and assessment of new analysis approaches for potential use within the Enterprise.
  • Developing the Enterprise Architecture
  • Coordinating all Enterprise Architecture activities locally and globally
  • Developing and coordinating Architecture Plans
Qualifications:
  • Technical Degree or related work experience
  • Significant experience in IT architecture and design
  • 5+ years of experience in design patterns and enterprise standards in application design
  • 3+ years of experience as lead developer in a team environment
  • Experience combining analysis, design, development and implementation of large-scale systems
  • 5+ years of experience with Object Oriented languages such as .Net, ASP.NET, C#, SQL Server, Java
