Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), a Las Vegas-based IT consulting firm, is currently seeking a Technical Project Manager- Hotel Systems for a position in Las Vegas, NV. This will be a hybrid contract-to-hire opportunity.SummaryThe Technical Project Manager- Hotel Systems role is responsible for managing projects to ensure they remain within the agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality throughout the product/project lifecycle. The Project Manager must have a thorough understanding of Project Management concepts and techniques and should have the skills to evaluate project feasibility, establish priorities, and define, plan and execute the activities necessary to reach project objectives and milestones. This role will server as a consultant, organizer, facilitator, planner, analyst and problem solver. Job Requirements

  • College Diploma or university degree in software engineering, computer science, or business administration and /or 7 years equivalent work experience.
  • Gaming or Hotel Industry IT Project Management and Systems experience.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, coaching, listening, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
  • Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Comfortable with a fast pace and the flexibility to navigate constant change.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
  • Strong management skills across internal partners and external vendors.
  • Experience with Simphony, Opera or a similar Hotel Management System
  • Experience with Yellowdog, Birchstreet and Micros or similar systems

Responsibilities
  • Lead the successful delivery of multiple projects including managing resource inter-dependencies, scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and communications.
  • Provide decision-making authority across all technical and business process related issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely project status updates to stockholders to set expectations and ensure a high degree of project success.
  • Ensure that contractual agreements with solution providers and vendors are managed.
  • Manage project activities through the effective use of project management principles and the specific methodologies adopted by the PMI and Agile methodology to achieve timely project completion and meet the defined project business objectives.
  • Ensure IT, infrastructure, process, and organization elements of a project are addressed and integrated.
  • Ensures all projects are managed against a project plan and viable schedule.
  • Proactively ensure risks are identified, communicated, and mitigated and that projects are delivered successfully through production.
  • Manage the vendor ecosystem, including the managing of their contracts.
Preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Project
  • Implementation experience with Yellowdog, Birchstreet and Micros
  • Implementation experience with Aptos and Xtore
  • PMP Preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain any licensing or active work cards required, at present or in the future for this position at all times.
