Link Technologies (LinkTechConsulting.com), is currently seeking a Software Engineer - Microcontroller for a position in Las Vegas, NV. This will be a hybrid, contract opportunity.All applicants MUST BE AN U.S. CITIZEN – NO EXCEPTIONS.Work will focus on developing software and hardware products and tools for radiation detection systems.Work will span the entirety of the design process including initial conceptualization, early prototype development, in-house testing, late-stage prototyping, external testing and validation, and manufacturing and fabricating the final product.Additionally, the position will require writing progress/status reports and other technical documents.Candidate must excel in a team environment, propose new approaches and methodologies, create innovative solutions to complex field detection and operations problems, and perform related work as assigned by supervisor. QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related calculus based technical Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) field plus a least two years' relevant experience in one or more of the following:Microcontroller Design and Firmware DevelopmentEmbedded Systems development with a Linux based Distribution and/or FreeRTOSVerilog for FPGA DevelopmentAnalog and/or Digital circuit design, capture and layoutAndroid App Development Proficient knowledge with the Linux operating system is required.Experience with network and systems administration tools is preferred.Working knowledge of benchtop instrumentation including multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers is required.Experience is desired in Xilinx Vivado and ISE development environments and/or with Microchip Studio, MPLAB X and Harmony.Knowledge and experience with test-driven development and working knowledge of the Git version control environment are also desired.Must have proficiency with high-level programming languages such as C, C, C#, Java and Kotlin.Must be a self-starter and able to work independently while still contributing in a fast-paced team environment. Ability to work flexibly, innovatively, and well with others.Excellent verbal, written and communication skills are required.
