Job Description Requisition Number: 7013Required Travel: 0 - 10%Employment Type: Full Time/Salaried/ExemptHours Per Week: 40Security Clearance: No ClearanceLevel of Experience: MidJob DescriptionHII Mission Technologies is seeking a Software Development Analyst that can work remotely to design, develop, enhance, debug, implement and manage software solutions for contractual deliverables to the US Government. These deliverables will follow established technical compliance guidelines that support maintaining mission critical and operational systems for the US Government to review, approve, and track. The Software Development Analyst must be adaptable and capable for managing and improving current software, applications, and tools to include integration with other technology platforms.This role offers a hybrid work arrangement primarily consisting of remote and occasional on site work in Kearneysville, WV.Essential Job Responsibilities
- Formulates or defines system scope and objectives.
- Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results.
- Prepares detailed specifications for programs.
- Assists in the design, development, testing, implementation, and documentation of new software and enhancements of existing applications.
- Works with project managers, developers, and end users to ensure application designs meet business requirements.
- Formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from the manufacturer.
- Designs, codes, tests, debug and document those programs.
- Provides overall operating system, such as sophisticated file maintenance routines, large telecommunications networks, computer accounting, and advanced mathematical/scientific software packages.
- Assists all phases of software systems programming applications.
- Evaluates new and existing software products.
- Prepares cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to help management decide whether implementing the proposed system will be financially feasible.
- .NET C#, VB.NET, MSSQL are required. Experience using Visual Studio, SSMS and TFS are also required. CORE, ASP.NET and MVC are a major plus. Java, Oracle, and Forms not required but would make candidate highly desirable.
- 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 3 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 0 years experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience.
