Responsibilities Molokai General Hospital is looking for a Call-In Mammography Technologist.Molokai General Hospital (MGH) is a 15-bed rural health care facility with a Critical Access Hospital designation. It provides the only emergency room for the residents and visitors on the island of Molokai. MGH became a part of The Queen's Health Systems in 1987 and provides acute care, inpatient hospice, skilled nursing, and low-risk obstetrical services. It also offers primary care in a rural health clinic, chemotherapy, limited specialty procedures, diabetes management, family planning, physical therapy (including aquatic therapy), veteran's services and chronic disease navigation services. JOB SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for performing mammographic procedures in accordance with procedures and protocols of quality control standards, as established by the department and Molokai General Hospital. II. TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS Essential: Seeing, hearing, speaking, standing, walking, finger dexterity, lifting weight up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling weight up to 250 pounds, carrying weight up to 50 pounds.Continuous: Seeing, hearing, speaking, stooping/bending, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, frequent gripping of an object, pushing/pulling weight up to 250 pounds, carrying up to 50 pounds, reaching above, at and below shoulder level, repetitive arm/hand motions, static gripping of an object for prolonged periods of time. III. TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONSBoth inside and outside environmental conditions, extreme heat and cold (temperature and duration), noise and/or vibration, hazardous physical conditions, and atmospheric conditions which affect the respiratory system or skin. Other and/or specific physical demands, machines, tools, equipment, working conditions, etc., required in area of assignment. IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSA. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE: • Certification in Mammography by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). • Hawaii State licensure as a Radiologic Technologist. • Current BLS/HCP certification. B. EXPERIENCE: • One (1) year experience as a Radiologic Technologist in an acute care facility. • One (1) year experience as a Mammography Technologist.
