RN Clinician - Hospice Seattle

Description:$10,000 sign-on bonus offered to external RN hires!Providence is calling a Registered Nurse (RN) (Hospice, Evening Shift, Full-Time) to Providence Hospice of Seattle in Tukwila, Washington.Hospice nurses will tell you what a privilege it is to care for patients and their families at the end of their lives. (4) 10 hour shifts per week from 11am to 9:30pm. Required to work 1 weekend per month.In this position you will:

Assess the needs of terminally ill hospice and palliative patients and families, with special attention to the symptoms and comfort of the dying patient.

Develop and/or implement a holistic Hospice Plan of Care that includes medication, procedures, treatments, patient’s goals, and family values.

Implement nursing interventions based on the Plan of Care and Hospice policies and procedures.

Anticipate disease progression and implications for symptom management.

Inform patient and family of current and anticipated changes in patient condition as appropriate.

Qualifications:Required qualifications for this position include:

Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing

Current Washington State professional licensure or certification

Current Healthcare Provider Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification

Current Washington State Driver's license and automobile insurance

1 year nursing experience

Preferred qualifications for this position include:

Hospice certification or advanced certification

Hospice, home health, long-term care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience
