Primary Duties & Responsibilities • Design exciting new features to amplify Northwestern Mutual's investment opportunities. • Decompose complex problems into straight forward solutions. • Participates in setting team standards and methodology. • Assist with recruiting and hiring. • Mentor new team members • Apply engineering best practices in order to analyze and develop software solutions. • Develop software using established development and continuous integration practices. • Utilize established monitoring and automation processes. • Conduct code evaluations. • Participate in setting team standards and best practices. Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience • 3-5 years professional experience required • Familiarity using continuous integration and deployment concepts • At least 3 years experience with specific technical requirements/platforms( i.e. React, NodeJS, Python, SQL) • Familiarity with public cloud and associated technologies (AWS, Containerization, kubernetes ) • Strong technical skills and familiarity with Agile methodologies • Understanding of the business domain (Investments and Accounting) • Able to mentor new team members • Can communicate clearly to the business Added Benefits
