Explore your future and launch your career today.Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Cyber Systems Administrator. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program. What You'll Get To Do: Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Cyber system administration may include: cyber tool configuration, (i.e. elasticsearch, apache kafka, logstash, auditbeat, filebeat, etc.)
  • Develop enterprise-grade automation in Ansible, Python, and bash utilizing underlying Atlassian infrastructure.
  • Design new systems and help pave the IT path forward for the program.
This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. Job Qualifications: You'll Bring These Qualifications:
  • 10 years with Bachelors, 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree; 8 years with Masters
  • Current DoD Secret clearance (adjudicated within the past 5 years) with US Citizenship and ability to obtain/retain TS clearance and PAR within 365 days from submission.
  • Experience in Aerospace and/or System Engineering.
  • Hands-on, in-depth experience working on the Linux terminal, with a solid foundation of all Linux fundamental skills, including but not limited to: IdM/IPA, syslog, SSH, X.509/PKI, GDM, firewalld, SELinux, package management, process management, LVM and partitioning, kickstart, encryption, HBAC/RBAC, user management, etc.
  • Hands on, in-depth technical experience with cyber tools to include (elasticsearch, logstash, fluentd, auditbeat, etc.)
  • Hands on experience with Istio Security
  • Active IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security+), or higher
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
  • Command line and GUI experience with Git (Bitbucket preferred, Gitlab accepted)
  • In-depth experience with Ansible - writing YAML (playbooks, roles, etc), configuring systems at run time, and troubleshooting.
  • Python and shell scripting ability
  • Experience configuring and maintaining VMware vSphere 7, preferably API-based interactions using Ansible.
  • Self-starter, with a proven ability to troubleshoot issues in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Basic understanding of IPv4 networking fundamentals.
  • Basic understanding of information assurance principles in the DoD/IC environment.
  • Deep knowledge of deploying secure applications using Kubernetes or other similar tooling
  • General user experience configuring and administering Linux applications
  • Proven experience executing Security Hardening on diverse LINUX and Windows Operating Systems based on approved DISA STIGs and SRGs
  • Familiarity with scripting Windows Group Policy Objects (GPOs)
  • Experience scripting, installing, and testing patches on system hosts
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
  • Understanding of SCRUM and AGILE methodology.
  • Experience Cross Domain Guards
  • Experience with GemOne Key management software
  • Experience with JIRA/Confluence/GitLab
  • Experience with HAIPE encryption
  • Experience with various comsec devices ie. SKL or other key loaders.

Salary Range: $103,900 USD - $155,900 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
