Our client, a leading
electronics company, is seeking Production Technicians to join their team in Ozark, MO. These employees will be responsible for a variety of assignments pertaining to the manufacturing of speakers. This role is a 6 month contract to start, eligible for extension or conversion to FTE. ResponsibilitiesSpeaker Cabinet assembly- Assemble, glue, nail, screw cabinet pieces together to complete the assembly as instructed for each product
- Attach fly points and internal brackets as needed for each product
- Cut trim pieces as needed for completion of the cabinet using the table saw and miter saws.
- Use the table and hand routers to round over edges as required
- Patch defects, nail holes and edges using Bondo wood filler
- Sand the cabinet surfaces to meet quality standards for the cabinets
- Maintain all paint equipment including pumps, spray guns, hoses and booth
- Clean the area and replace floor paper and filters as needed
- Apply paint to the cabinets as instructed to result in the proper finish depending on speaker application
- Provide feedback to sanding and cabinet assembly regarding any defects identified
- Collect parts needed for each production run and bring to the production line
- Follow assembly procedures for the station. This may include inserting input plates, attaching wiring, inserting damping material, attaching speakers and grills
- Perform final quality testing and apply serial numbers to the units
- Package the completed units following standard procedures
- Cut damping material to specified shapes for assembly
- Prep wire, solder, rivet, screw input plates and crossovers, following instructions for that specific task
- Strong mechanical skills with ability to construct, modify and troubleshoot test fixtures and equipment.
- Industrial spray-painting experience is desirable
- Experience in wood cabinet building or similar wood assembly/finishing
- Should be methodical and detail oriented yet capable of working independently, sometimes under time constraints, as well as within a team environment.
- Ability to perform detailed and intricate assembly.
- Ability to use measurement tools, such as calipers, go/no go gauges, etc
- Experience operating a forklift is desired, but not required
