Marine EngineerJob Category: EngineeringTime Type: Full timeMinimum Clearance Required to Start: ConfidentialEmployee Type: RegularPercentage of Travel Required: Up to 10%Type of Travel: Continental USCACI has will have an opening for a full-time Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean Engineer to support engineering and planning efforts for Submarine Rescue and Mobility platforms at the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard (PNS) in Kittery, Maine.What You'll Get to Do:
- Perform mechanical, electrical and/or structural analysis
- Evaluate components and materials and systems to ensure system integration, compatibility and stability
- Develop, create and review Job Summaries and Task Group Instructions (TGIs).
- Assist with other Deficiency Form problems and preparing Sales Costs estimates.
- Support of 688 Class and 774 Class Submarines and Deep Submergence assets.
- Electrical/Mechanical/Civil/Ocean engineering degree from an ABET Accredited College/University (other degree disciplines may be considered)
- Three years' progressive engineering experience supporting the maintenance, repair or design of submarines or submersibles
- Professional engineering experience performing complex engineering calculations such as heat transfer, fluid flow, piping stress, mechanical stress etc.
- Experience with configuration management and document control
- Demonstrated ability to manage work in a time-sensitive operational environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret clearance
- Prior experience specifically with US Navy Deep Submergence Assets and Support Systems.
- Familiarity with Military Specifications, ANSI and ASME standards
- Related submarine / submersible experience with design, maintenance, operations, repair and/or testing
- Experience with MS Office suite of products
