Contract Duration: 1 year + Several Possible Extensions The Business Analyst reviews, analyzes and evaluates business processes and documents both technical and user business needs. This role must be familiar with industry leading business mapping methodologies and business process reengineering that facilitate the delivery of successful projects. This role will provide support and offer best practices on reviewing, analyzing and documenting business systems and user needs.

WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS (Required)The workers responsibilities and skills must include:
  • Experience with reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business processes and systems and user needs.
  • Experience with general IT SDLC processes.
  • Experience with documenting detailed description of user needs and program functions.
  • Experience with documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows.
  • Experience with mediating business units that may have conflicting requirements.
  • Ability to create and maintain several project artifacts including Business Requirements Document, Use Cases and User Acceptance Test Plan and Scripts.
  • Experience with collaborating with team members to understand organizational and operational challenges.
  • Experience with drafting statistical reports that assist decision-makers
  • Knowledge of Excel, Tableau, and other tools to perform data analysis
  • Experience with serving as a liaison between the business community and IT teams.
  • Experience with identifying, managing and mitigating project risks and issues.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Being a creative thinker to solve issues.

Minimum Required Skills/Experience:
  • 7 years of experience reviewing, analyzing and evaluating business processes and systems and user needs
  • 7 years of experience with general IT SDLC processes.
  • 7 years of experience with documenting AS-IS and TO-BE process flows.
  • 7 years of experience in gathering both business requirements from business divisions as well as technical requirements.
  • 6 years of experience with serving as a liaison between the business community and IT teams.
  • 6 years skilled in educating business unit staff on standardized processes.
  • 6 years possessing strong verbal and written skills in communicating with peers and different levels of users including executive staff.
  • 6 years skilled in facilitating large group meetings with internal and external resources.
  • 6 years skilled in collaborating with the technical and functional teams to develop the Business Requirements Document, Technical Specification, User Acceptance Plan and Scripts and other documents need in support of the solution.
  • 6 years of experience with writing test cases and scripts that can be delivered to customers as well as provide support during User Acceptance Testing.
  • 4 years of experience with Excel, Tableau, and other tools to perform data analysis.
  • 2 years of experience implementing Salesforce solutions on Lightning Platform.
  • 2 years of experience with training customers on Salesforce and newly built features.

Preferred (NOT Required):
  • 4 years of experience with one or more of the State of Texas government agencies
  • CBAP and/or PMP-BA certification is a plus
  • 2 years of Confluence and Jira Experience a plus
  • Salesforce Admin, App Builder Certified
  • Salesforce Trailhead Ranger Status
  • Salesforce Trailhead Super badges
