Job Title: Manufacturing ERP TechnicianLocation: ChicagoJob type and Duration: PermanentSupport development of ERP system by migrating data and ensuring ERP is implemented properly. Assist production management by processing work orders and tracking labor data. Analyze processes, identify potential shortcomings, and provide solutions. Establish written documentation of Client standards, processes, and bills of material in order to facilitate knowledge transfer towards new staff members and preserve the Company craft for future generations.Essential Duties:
- Implement new ERP system for our complete product line by verifying whether the costs and bills of material (BOMs) are accurate in our current ERP system (SAP Business One), and correcting data when necessary. Upload the verified items, production models, and costs into the system, and perform tests to ensure that the data is consistent and reliable, reflecting the reality of what is happening real-time on the production floor
- Oversee production planning by running the MRP and making manual adjustments to the plan, as needed, to suit any changes in business priorities and accommodate constraints. Conduct cost analysis of our products and subproducts by running the system s costification module. Maintain the system by ensuring that data is reported properly and kept up-to-date.
- Create BOMs. This involves conversing with operators on the production floor, calculating the quantity of materials used, determining the correct units of measurement, calculating touch times (labor times) and queue times (waiting times), and identifying machines, tools, and fixtures used in each process.
- Process work orders daily and manage related production data using Microsoft Excel (wood production, carving, and sanding logs) and ERP software.
- Ensure that any materials added to the system (i.e. raw materials, semi-finished goods, accessories, finished product, etc.) conform to newly developed part number and part description schemas.
- Upon request.
- Proficient using Microsoft Windows 10 operating system.
- Proficient using MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Good communication skills.
- Associates degree in manufacturing, industrial, technology, or equivalent experience
- It is a plus to have experience using SQL and SQL Server
- It is a plus to have working experience in manufacturing environment.
- It is a plus to have working knowledge of Quality systems.
- It is a plus to have knowledge of woodworking and/or metalworking equipment, materials, and methods.
- It is a plus to have knowledge of ERP software.
