- Vice President, Technical Operations. Reports to the CEO.
- Provide technical, technology & operational Leadership & direction, in line with the company's Vision & Mission.
- Experience within a biologics environment a must - mammalian cell culture, recombinant proteins, and large molecules.
- Overall responsibility for successful Project/Program Delivery, including Process Development/MSAT, Tech Transfer, GMP Mfg. (including Upstream, Downstream, Fill/Finish), Characterization & Analytics, Bioconjugation, Materials Mgmt., Facility & Engineering (Plant & Machinery), Facility Expansion.
- Coordinate well with support functions including Quality/Regulatory, Finance, IT, Business Development & Marketing.
- Successful experience as a Leader, go-getter, lead-by-example attitude. Has shown strong people management skills.
- Strong Planning & Operations skills & experience. Ability to define expectations and hold people accountable. Familiar and experienced in concepts including LEAN, Six Sigma, continuous improvement
- Needs to have worked within a Commercial product manufacturing environment.
- Ability to drive and effect change within the organization, particularly evolving from early-mid-stage manufacturing to late-stage/commercial manufacturing.
- Experience in a services organization, including a CDMO. Client interaction experience a huge positive.
- Experience with cGMP facility buildout, qualification, validation is desirable.
- Experience within Quality functions is a bonus.
- Familiar with budgeting, P&L management, capital allocation.
- Keeps up with new trends in manufacturing and contract services.
- Strategic thinker.
