Job Description: Job Title: Sr Business Systems Analyst Location: 100% Remote Duration: 6M Contract to Hire Description: Can you please provide a summary of the project/initiative which describes what's being done?We are in the midst of standing up a new application to administer value based care and risk based contracts. We are both creating new functions from the ground up, adding enhancements to existing functions and also connecting our system with other systems. Our SAs work between the product owners, technical architects and software engineers to design and plan the changes. The Systems analyst will Direct application delivery team by defining user stories, system workflows, data mappings, data definitions/examples, expected business outcomes.What does the ideal candidate background look like (ex: healthcare specific background, etc.)? We want to be as specific as possible with our firms so they can find the type of candidate you're looking for.• Healthcare background is a plus, but not ideal.• Be able to interpret data models, create process flows to drive system processing.• Detail and document the technology solution system needs; Break down large deliveries into small units of work.• Understand data access patterns, understanding system boundaries and knowing how to access data that isn't immediately accessible.• Experience in Agile methodologies, grooming Features and User Stories, be able to work with Product Owners, Developers, and architects and drive solutions across the team• Create and own various requirements & development artifacts, for example: User Stories, workflows, mapping documents, screen mockups - present findings to application team.• Experience documenting detailed designs, process workflows, data mappings and API integrations.• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way.• 5+ years of experience related to business analysis, healthcare operations, process improvement, or application architecture• Flexible and able to work in a rapidly changing environment• Candidate may be expected to lead scrum calls for a sub-team on a rotational basisOf the required skills listed, which would you consider the top 3? (would be best if candidates are able to convert to FTE without sponsorship) What does the team structure look like - how many members and what is the break-down of the teams skill sets (ex: 1 PM, 4 Developers, etc.)?Overall team of 50 people, mix of architects, systems analysts, QE, SEs and product owners. We are organized into 4 smaller scrum teams focused on a smaller/specific track of work. We will align the candidate to a unit of work to design, guide and implement with the SE/QE team - mostly working with a small team.What does the interview process look like?a. How many rounds? 2b. Video vs. phone? Video and expecting candidate to screenshare while working through exercises.c. How technical will the interviews be? Somewhat technical. This is not a software engineering interview, but the candidates should be able to create a SQL data model, create a process flow and discuss how data can be sent/received between two different systems.d. When do you anticipate starting the interview process? Now.Candidate will need to understand IT architecture, go-getter to collaborate with unfamiliar teams and learn new processes.Interview: 2 round sof interviews. Candidate should be able to create a datamodel, process flow and understand queue's for inter-system messaging needs.Candidate responsibilities:• Direct application delivery team by defining user stories, system workflows, data mappings, data definitions/examples, expected business outcomes• Detail and document the technology solution system needs; Break down large deliveries into small units of work• Quickly and effectively understand issues and challenges and translates them into a delivery plan.• Lead meetings with product owners and business team members; Gather requirements and translate to system application needs.• Identify and resolve technical and operational problems, be proactive to advising how to resolve.• Work cohesively with contacts across product owners, architecture, application development, quality engineering. Support these team members, communicate and share functional expectations.• Create and own various requirements & development artifacts, for example: User Stories, workflows, mapping documents, screen mockups - present findings to application team.• Translate business needs into a technical delivery plan for our software engineers.Qualifications:• Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience• Experience with conducting business process improvement/optimization/reengineering efforts• 5+ years of experience related to business analysis, healthcare operations, process improvement, or application architecture• Experience in Agile methodologies, grooming Features and User Stories, be able to work with Product Owners, Developers, and architects and drive solutions across the team• Experience documenting detailed designs, process workflows, data mappings and API integrations.• Flexible and able to work in a rapidly changing environment• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to present fact-based recommendations in a clear, logical, and concise way.• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with technology and business partners• Working knowledge of relational databases, database structures (SQL, Oracle, Teradata), Intermediate level of proficiency developing SQL queries• Experience with creating data models and entity relationship diagrams• Experience creating UI wireframe mockups• Understanding of Provider Risk Based contracting methods and knowledge of alternate reimbursement methods such as Capitation• Experience with data loading , data transformations• Self-starter with the ability to problem solve and work independently• Strong presentation and communication skills• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a rapid-delivery environment• Strong technical background• Experience with reporting tools• Ability to define API request/response structuresPlease email: to applyEEO EmployerApex Systems is an equal opportunity employer.
