Jobsite Superintendent - Residential, High-End

Hamptons builder of ultra-luxury homes is seeking an experienced job superintendent to supervise all phases of a new, ground-up construction project in Watermill, NY.

The ideal candidate has experience managing all aspects of job site management, including scheduling vendors, inspections, quality control, value engineering, RFIs and job site safety. Additionally, moderate project management experience is strongly preferred.

This position requires someone who is a self-starter, can work autonomously, problem solve and work well along side the production team (designers, office team, vendors and owner).

Job duties:

Completion of daily reports, construction schedule and time logs.

Effectively manage employees and subcontractors on-site.

Schedule, supervise and coordinate subcontractors and material men.

Ensure workmanship is of acceptable quality, while upholding safety protocols and maintaining a clean job site at all times.

Assist project managers with creating vendor scopes, obtaining vendor bids, qualifying and comparing vendors that meet the cost and time requirements of the project.

Effectively communicate information regarding RFIs, change orders and material submittals with the office team to maintain an updated and accurate project schedule.

Maintain and review punch list process to ensure all are addressed and executed in a timely manner.

Required knowledge, skills and abilities:

Understanding of building codes, safety guidelines and regulations addressing construction projects, specifically including the Town and Village of Southampton, Village of Sagaponack and the Town and Village of East Hampton.

Extensive knowledge of construction and safety procedures, experience in managing people, and high-level finishes and craftsmanship.

Project experience should include new ground up construction.

Microsoft word and excel. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred.
