Certified Surgical Technologist II Position Summary Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures. Responsibilities: Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment
Assists in transporting patient to and from the operating room
Actively involved in process improvement
Performs other related duties as assigned
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field
Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Requirements and Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program
Minimum 1 year experience in an operating room required
Surgical Technician Certification (CST) required
Competent in two specialty areas required
BLS Required. Current AHA Healthcare provider, American Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
Working Conditions:
Must be able to lift or move up to 50 lbs
Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
Typical equipment used in a clinical job
Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
