From your PASSION to oursGenerate monthly report files and analysis the data while ensuring accurate milk payments to cooperatives and direct producers. Confirm milk loads and prepare invoice data through DSI software. Manage the workload amongst the direct reports and supervise those same employees. Responsible for supporting the financial and strategic goals of milk procurement. From your EXPERTISE to oursKey responsibilities for this position include:Responsible to oversee the timely payment by Lactalis through the DSI system to direct paid producers in all Lactalis locations in coordination with corporate accounts payable in Buffalo

Summarize and analyze milk procurement data for utilization internally and to meet Federal/State orders.

Report on how performance is tracking against the budget, forecasts, and prior year results

Make recommendations for overall departmental efficiencies and improvements. This includes recommendations on cost reductions pertaining to milk procurement fees.

Provide support and supervision of direct reports.

Prepare monthly financial reports to the VP of Business Unit and the Director, to present to the Board of Directors; conduct formal and informal presentations on an ad hoc basis.

Prepare and distribute monthly milk reports (intercompany). This includes monthly, calendar, and fiscal milk files submitted to the parent company in Laval based on established calendar deadlines.

Display excellent accuracy, analytical skills, and judgement with confidence to make recommendations, while also collaboratively working with cross functional teams

Manage communication (phone calls and emails) from cooperative milk suppliers. Oversee Milk payroll, specifically milk received by the plants and editing functions to assure accuracy.

Supervise the upload of producer component and quality information into DSI.

Work closely with Controller of milk procurement (finance) on monthly milk volumes, payments / settlements.

Travel and / or extended or off work hours may be required.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises employees in the Milk Procurement Department. Incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.RequirementsFrom your STORY to oursQualified applicants will contribute the following:Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Economics, Finance or in a related field.

Experience3-5 years of relevant experience, preferably in dairy manufacturing and accounting.

Financial numbers and reporting; includes data entry and analysis.

Familiar with Milk and raw material procurement process

Skills/AbilitiesComputer skills and coaching of direct reports.

Milk information software helpful

Individual needs to possess leadership, organizational and communication skills appropriate to the position
