Coordinator, Infection ControlReq #:40984Category:NursingStatus:Part-TimeShift:DayFacility:RWJ New BrunswickLocation:Infection Control, One Robert Wood Johnson Place, New Brunswick, NJ 08901RWJBH is seeking a Coordinator for Infection Control for our New Brunswick campus, This is a part-time, day position, 20 hours/weekThe Emerging Disease Coordinator will support the efficient function of the infection prevention program and emergency preparedness program in the area of emerging diseases and training. The main function of this role is to train a hospital infectious response team. This individual must:Be responsible for the training and competencies of infectious response team and all other staff as necessary.

Demonstrate responsibility for self-directed activity 90% of the time.

Participate in hospital committees as needed.

Prepare reports on compliance to training for infection prevention department and emergency preparedness

Assess need for additional resources

Maintain appropriate records and files 95% of the time.

Provide assistance with completing grant applications as needed

REQUIREMENTS:EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:Bachelor s degree in nursing, medical technology or a related scientific field. Minimum of 3 years clinical experience in an acute care facility or EMS. Prior infection prevention experience preferred. Certification in Infection Control (CIC) preferred.
