Job Title: Electrical Engineering Drafter/Production Liaison

Department: Engineering Department

Reports To: Engineering Department, Group Leader

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Wage Grade: Production, Grade Four

Approved Date: August 12, 2022

SUMMARY

Prepares clear, complete, accurate and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches or notes. Works with Electrical Engineering Designer to produce production build specification documents and drawings Also,performs trouble shooting and production support.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Utilizes knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering practices and standards, mathematics, and other physical sciences to produce drawings and assemblies for use by production personnel and vendors.

Produces supporting documentation as required, including bills of material, specifications, and change control documents.

Provides technical support to internal customers.

Assists with product research and implementation

Uses computer-aided design (CAD) software. Proficient in Word and Excel.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Minimum 2 years drafting experience. Minimum 2 years Inventor CAD software experience. Equivalent combination of education and experience. Must be familiar with standard drafting practices. Experience with Autodesk, Autocad and Inventor required.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Strong oral and written communication skills. Ability to share information and to work as part of a team. Must be able to use vendor catalogs and standard reference materials.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations, basic algebra, and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

Must be able to organize data. Must have visualization and problem-solving skills.
